Makes 3 medium patties, 2 large patties or 4 small pattiesIngredients:
- 3 tbsp. (18 g) Formula 3 Personalized Protein Powder
- 150 g raw carrot, grated
- 50 g shallot or red onion, grated
- 1 clove of garlic, melted or finely grated
- 60 g of tahini paste
- 2 tbsp. chopped cilantro or parsley
- 1 tbsp. ground cumin
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp. olive oil (for cooking)
For the tahini sauce:
- 80 g tahini
- 20 g warm water
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. smoked paprika
- ½ tbsp. ground cumin
- 1 pinch of fine sea salt
- 1 pinch of ground black pepper

For serving:
- 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 6 burger buns, halved and toasted, optional (gluten-free if desired) arugula leaves, for garnish
- 1 sliced avocado, for garnish
Method:
To make the patties, put all the ingredients in a bowl and toss well to combine.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Form the patties. If you want, you can cover the patties with sesame seeds on both sides so that they are crispy after baking.You can bake the patties right away or cover them with cling film and place them in the fridge to bake them later.
Bake the patties in a pan with 2 tbsp. olive oil over medium heat, until golden on one side. Then, turn them on the other side and cook until it also gets colored.
Each side needs about 3 to 4 minutes of cooking.
For the tahini sauce, place the tahini, water, lemon juice, honey, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well, adjusting the seasonings to your liking.
Transfer the sauce to a bowl and set aside.
To serve, spread on each bun (if using) 1 tbsp. tahini sauce, arugula leaves, a few slices of avocado and 1 patty.
